Inside Fūga · Opium Deeper into Opium

Wide silhouettes, open seams, cold metal. Opium pants define the lower half of the look—and with it, the whole attitude.

What makes Opium pants

The cut is oversized, often with deep rise and intentionally raw edges. Materials like heavy denim, coated cotton or corduroy in black and grey dominate. Hardware on pockets, leg ends or along the side seams—chains, D-rings, zippers—are not accessories, but part of the construction. The pants stand alone before any top is added.

Styling and proportions

Opium pants function through contrast. Wide leg to tight Opium Top or crop layer. Heavy Opium Shoes with platform or sole weight keep the proportions grounded. Layering stays vertical—open shirts, asymmetrical vests, long chains. Those who want to understand the style deeper find the whole aesthetic logic in the Opium Fashion Guide .

Frequently asked questions

What sets Opium pants apart from regular baggy pants?

Opium pants combine wide silhouette with intentionally destructive details—open seams, raw edges, visible hardware. The cut is similarly wide, but the construction carries a different attitude than classic baggy pants.

Which shoes go with Opium pants?

Heavy soles are essential. Platform boots, chunky derbies or boots with buckles balance the pants' volume. Flat sneakers leave the proportions empty at the bottom.

Can you wear Opium pants everyday?

Yes. In black or grey with a simple top, the look becomes wearable without losing the aesthetic. The pants remain the statement—the rest can step back.

Opium.

Opium comes out of the gap between Berghain wardrobe and Streetwear cut. We read the same material through our lens.

Techwear.

Techwear started here as a translation of Tokyo reduction into fabric. Errolson Hugh, Acronym, GORE-TEX, ergonomic cuts — and parallel to that, Japanese discipline: nothing superfluous, all function.

Streetwear.

Streetwear is the root — the first designs out of Tokyo 2015 were Anime prints, Japanese characters, Harajuku graphics. Everything else grew from that, but the line keeps running.

Fūga

風雅

Fūga isn't for everyone.

Berlin Plattenbau origins, Asia-inspired. Creative, but never fully fitting into the system. Tokyo 2015 as the starting point — six niche phases since then.

Today: Berlin · Shanghai · Tokyo · Poznań. We know our designers by name. Limited drops, no restocks.

We aren't dropouts. We know the system — went through training, worked, kept building. Both sides hold.
