What Makes a Grunge Top
Oversized T-shirts with faded prints, tanktops with raw edges, crop tops with distressed details. The fabrics are thick enough for layering, the colors stay black, gray, and muted tones. No stretch fit, no bodycon — grunge tops hang, and that's intentional. The look comes from a time when clubs in Seattle and basement venues in Berlin set the dress code.
Wearing Grunge Tops Right
A wide grunge shirt under an open flannel, plus below with chain details. For the Soft Grunge approach: the same top but with lighter jeans and fewer accessories. Going toward Beyond : mix the rough tops with feminine elements — tulle, lace, delicate chains against coarse fabric.
Selection at Fūga
Oversized shirts with band and graphic prints, tanktops with cut-off edges, long-sleeve tops with distressed finish, and crop variants. All pieces are built for layering and work across the grunge spectrum.
Häufige Fragen
What is typical of Grunge fashion?
Grunge fashion is built on oversized cuts, worn materials, dark colors, and a deliberately unfinished look. Layering is central — multiple layers stacked, nothing coordinated. The style comes from the alternative music scene of the 90s.
What Goes Into a Grunge Outfit?
A classic grunge outfit has a wide T-shirt or tanktop, an open flannel or oversized jacket over it, wide pants, and heavy boots. Chains, rings, and dark colors complete the look.
How Do You Recognize Grunge Style?
By the deliberate carelessness: nothing looks styled, everything looks worn. Oversized fits, raw fabrics, distressed details, and a color palette of black, gray, and dark green are the markers.

Fūga
風雅
Fūga isn't for everyone.
Berlin Plattenbau origins, Asia-inspired. Creative, but never fully fitting into the system. Tokyo 2015 as the starting point — six niche phases since then.
Today: Berlin · Shanghai · Tokyo · Poznań. We know our designers by name. Limited drops, no restocks.
We aren't dropouts. We know the system — went through training, worked, kept building. Both sides hold.
How Fūga evolved
One line. No closed worlds.
What started as Streetwear in Tokyo has shifted over the years — through different phases, our own and collective.
01
Streetwear / Anime
The first designs. Anime prints, Harajuku characters, Tokyo connection.
02
Techwear
Functional, layered, dark. Tokyo reduction translated into fabric.
03
Gothic
Heavier, uncompromising, more shadow. Grew up parallel to Techwear.
04
Opium
Berghain aesthetic with street cuts. Raw, black, Berlin avant-garde meets Streetwear.
05
Rave
Cyberpunk meets the Berghain floor. Reflective, tactical, sound-system ready.
06
Businesscore
Tailored cuts with Streetwear logic. Growing older without going 9-to-5. Stay edgy.
What comes next, we'll write when the time comes.
