Inside Fūga · Techwear Deeper into Techwear

Techwear shoes combine functional construction with urban design — waterproof membranes, reinforced soles, and modular closure systems for streets that know no weather.

What defines techwear shoes

Techwear defines shoes through material and mechanics: Gore-Tex liners, Vibram soles, magnetic quick-release closures. The silhouettes move between chunky trail runners and minimalist city boots. Black dominates, but reflective details and translucent panels set accents. In the Techwear Collection you'll find the pieces for your complete look.

How to combine techwear shoes

Cargo pants with tunnel drawcords over the shaft, joggers stacked on the sole — techwear shoes work as the base for any technical silhouette. If you want contrast, wear them with Techwear Tops with utility vests and asymmetrical layers. In summer, shorts and a simple shirt work fine, as long as the shoes remain the statement.

Between function and subculture

Techwear comes from an attitude: clothes should work, not just look good. That's especially true for shoes — they carry you through Tokyo, Berlin, and every city in between. If you want to dig deeper, you'll find in the Techwear Fashion Guide the whole logic behind the style.

Häufige Fragen

What are techwear shoes?

Techwear shoes are functional shoes with technical materials like waterproof membranes, robust soles, and innovative closure systems — designed for urban environments and changeable weather.

How do I care for techwear shoes properly?

Refresh waterproofing regularly, don't put membranes in the dryer, and clean soles with a soft brush. Most technical upper materials can't handle machine washing.

Can you wear techwear shoes everyday?

Yes. Most models are built for daily use in the city — lighter constructions also work for the office, as long as the dress code isn't classically formal.

Techwear.

Techwear started here as a translation of Tokyo reduction into fabric. Errolson Hugh, Acronym, GORE-TEX, ergonomic cuts — and parallel to that, Japanese discipline: nothing superfluous, all function.

Streetwear.

Streetwear is the root — the first designs out of Tokyo 2015 were Anime prints, Japanese characters, Harajuku graphics. Everything else grew from that, but the line keeps running.

Fūga

風雅

Fūga isn't for everyone.

Berlin Plattenbau origins, Asia-inspired. Creative, but never fully fitting into the system. Tokyo 2015 as the starting point — six niche phases since then.

Today: Berlin · Shanghai · Tokyo · Poznań. We know our designers by name. Limited drops, no restocks.

We aren't dropouts. We know the system — went through training, worked, kept building. Both sides hold.
