Inside Fūga · Old indie clothing Deeper into Old indie clothing

Alt indie clothing at Fuga Studios — where indie meets alternative. Darker, edgier, less vintage romance, more post-punk attitude.

Alt indie as its own style.

Alt indie separates itself from classic indie through harder edges. Less flannel, more leather. Less earth tones, more black and grey. The style borrows from emo, grunge and dark academia without tipping into costume. Mesh inserts, chains as accessories and oversized cuts with deliberately raw seams belong to the repertoire. The Indie Fashion Collection shows the lighter side — here it's about the dark.

Building alt indie outfits.

Base: black cargo pants or wide jeans with distressed details. Add a graphic longsleeve or a plain black top under an open shirt jacket. Platform boots or chunky sneakers below. Silver jewelry — rings, chains, earrings — sets accents without overwhelming the look. For basics, check the Indie Attire collection here.

Haeufige Fragen

What sets alt indie apart from regular indie?

Alt indie is darker and edgier. Where classic indie style relies on vintage and warm tones, alt indie works with black, leather, mesh and influences from emo and post-punk.

What does alt mean in alt indie?

Alt stands for alternative. It marks the distance from mainstream — even within the indie scene. Alt indie combines independent aesthetics with elements from alternative subcultures.

What pieces fit alt indie?

Black cargo pants, leather jackets, graphic longsleeves, shirt jackets, platform boots, mesh tops and silver jewelry. The palette stays dark, the fits intentionally wide or intentionally tight — rarely in between.

Opium.

Opium comes out of the gap between Berghain wardrobe and Streetwear cut. We read the same material through our lens.

Techwear.

Techwear started here as a translation of Tokyo reduction into fabric. Errolson Hugh, Acronym, GORE-TEX, ergonomic cuts — and parallel to that, Japanese discipline: nothing superfluous, all function.

Streetwear.

Streetwear is the root — the first designs out of Tokyo 2015 were Anime prints, Japanese characters, Harajuku graphics. Everything else grew from that, but the line keeps running.

Fūga

風雅

Fūga isn't for everyone.

Berlin Plattenbau origins, Asia-inspired. Creative, but never fully fitting into the system. Tokyo 2015 as the starting point — six niche phases since then.

Today: Berlin · Shanghai · Tokyo · Poznań. We know our designers by name. Limited drops, no restocks.

We aren't dropouts. We know the system — went through training, worked, kept building. Both sides hold.
