Inside Fūga · Techwear Deeper into Techwear

Reflective Techwear makes visibility a design principle — stripes, panels and coatings that glow under light and disappear in daylight. At Fūga Studios, reflective details aren't a safety feature, they're an expression.

How reflective materials work

Retroreflective fabrics bounce light back to the source. By day they look matte, silvery or nearly invisible. At night, under flash or headlights, they light up. In Techwear pieces, that creates a visual contrast you can't replicate — every photo looks different. The complete Techwear collection shows the range from subtle to full-coverage.

Wearing Reflective Techwear

A reflective stripe on a black jacket is enough to define the look. Push further and pair reflective trousers with dark tops — light does the rest. For context on cuts and proportions, see the Techwear Fashion Guide.

Was die Kollektion enthält

Jackets with reflective panels, joggers with glowing stripes, accessories with retroreflective coating. Plus crossover pieces from the Y2K techwear line., which reinforce the futuristic aspect.

Häufige Fragen

Which fabrics reflect light?

Retroreflective textiles are made from microscopic glass beads or prismatic films applied to fabric carriers. The result glows under direct light and stays inconspicuous in daylight.

Who wears reflective clothing?

Originally workwear and sportswear. In streetwear scenes, reflective elements have been part of nightlife and urban aesthetics for years — from Tokyo to Berlin.

Gorpcore takes outdoor clothing and wears it ironically in the city. Techwear, by contrast, designs for urban contexts from the start — the function comes not from hiking, but from city life in bad weather.

Gorpcore brings outdoor gear into the city. Techwear starts urban and integrates technical functions — water-resistant fabrics, modular pockets, reflective details. Focus is on construction, not nature reference.

Opium.

Opium comes out of the gap between Berghain wardrobe and Streetwear cut. We read the same material through our lens.

Techwear.

Techwear started here as a translation of Tokyo reduction into fabric. Errolson Hugh, Acronym, GORE-TEX, ergonomic cuts — and parallel to that, Japanese discipline: nothing superfluous, all function.

Streetwear.

Streetwear is the root — the first designs out of Tokyo 2015 were Anime prints, Japanese characters, Harajuku graphics. Everything else grew from that, but the line keeps running.

Fūga

風雅

Fūga isn't for everyone.

Berlin Plattenbau origins, Asia-inspired. Creative, but never fully fitting into the system. Tokyo 2015 as the starting point — six niche phases since then.

Today: Berlin · Shanghai · Tokyo · Poznań. We know our designers by name. Limited drops, no restocks.

We aren't dropouts. We know the system — went through training, worked, kept building. Both sides hold.
