Inside Fūga · Techwear Deeper into Techwear

Colorful techwear breaks with the monochrome dogma — same cuts, same functional fabrics, but color as a deliberate choice. Fūga shows that technical fashion doesn't have to be black.

Techwear beyond black.

Techwear is often equated with dark palettes because its origins lie in urban utility — inconspicuous, functional, wearable at night. Colorful techwear flips this logic: neon green on cargo pants, orange windbreakers, blue vests with reflective details. The cuts stay tactical, the fabrics technical — only the camouflage falls away. The full palette is available in the Techwear Main Collection.

Which colors work in techwear.

Block colors beat patterns. A single colored piece over a black base is enough — jacket in signal orange, the rest dark. Or reverse: colored pants, black top. For those seeking the bridge to retro, you'll find it in the Y2K Techwear Collection. For colorful tops: the Techwear Tops Selection.

What's in this collection

Jackets, vests, pants, and accessories with color accents — filtered from the techwear range. No pastels, no prints. Saturated single tones on technical fabrics. The Techwear Fashion Guide orders the style.

Häufige Fragen

What is techwear clothing?

Fashion from technical materials with functional details — water-resistant membranes, cargo pockets, adjustable straps. Originally in black, now also in color.

Why is techwear mostly black?

Black fabrics hide seams and construction details. Plus the style comes from urban subcultures where inconspicuousness mattered. Colorful techwear makes a deliberate counter-statement.

Can you combine colorful techwear pieces?

One colored piece per outfit is the rule of thumb. Black as base, a jacket or pants in color as the focal point. This keeps the technical character readable.

Opium.

Opium comes out of the gap between Berghain wardrobe and Streetwear cut. We read the same material through our lens.

Techwear.

Techwear started here as a translation of Tokyo reduction into fabric. Errolson Hugh, Acronym, GORE-TEX, ergonomic cuts — and parallel to that, Japanese discipline: nothing superfluous, all function.

Streetwear.

Streetwear is the root — the first designs out of Tokyo 2015 were Anime prints, Japanese characters, Harajuku graphics. Everything else grew from that, but the line keeps running.

Fūga

風雅

Fūga isn't for everyone.

Berlin Plattenbau origins, Asia-inspired. Creative, but never fully fitting into the system. Tokyo 2015 as the starting point — six niche phases since then.

Today: Berlin · Shanghai · Tokyo · Poznań. We know our designers by name. Limited drops, no restocks.

We aren't dropouts. We know the system — went through training, worked, kept building. Both sides hold.
