Inside Fūga · Techwear Deeper into Techwear

Black and white techwear — the hardest reduction of the genre to two colors. No gray, no olive, no compromise. Fūga filters the collection to pure contrast.

Why black and white works in techwear.

Techwear lives on material contrast: matte fabrics against reflective seams, mesh against ripstop. Black and white make these textures visible without distraction. Cargo pants with white accent stitching, black windbreakers with white zippers — the color scheme becomes a design principle. The full range is shown in the Techwear Main Collection.

Core pieces of the black and white palette.

Tactical vests in black with white branding. Joggers with contrast stripes. Jackets where the cut replaces color. For those opening the style toward Y2K, overlaps appear in the Y2K Techwear Collection. Matching tops are in the Techwear Tops Selection.

How to style black and white right.

The rule: one dominant piece per outfit. Black base with one white accent — or vice versa. Never 50/50, always weighted. The Techwear Fashion Guide explains the logic behind it.

Häufige Fragen

Why is techwear often more expensive than regular streetwear?

Technical fabrics like Gore-Tex, Cordura or water-resistant membranes cost more to produce than cotton jersey. Add complex cuts with pockets, harness systems and sealed seams.

Can you wear black and white together?

In techwear, black and white is no style break, it's the foundation. Contrast highlights materials and cut — exactly what matters.

Which techwear brands focus on black and white?

Most techwear labels work with monochrome palettes. At Fūga Studios, black and white is its own filter category — not trend, just standard.

Opium.

Opium comes out of the gap between Berghain wardrobe and Streetwear cut. We read the same material through our lens.

Techwear.

Techwear started here as a translation of Tokyo reduction into fabric. Errolson Hugh, Acronym, GORE-TEX, ergonomic cuts — and parallel to that, Japanese discipline: nothing superfluous, all function.

Streetwear.

Streetwear is the root — the first designs out of Tokyo 2015 were Anime prints, Japanese characters, Harajuku graphics. Everything else grew from that, but the line keeps running.

Fūga

風雅

Fūga isn't for everyone.

Berlin Plattenbau origins, Asia-inspired. Creative, but never fully fitting into the system. Tokyo 2015 as the starting point — six niche phases since then.

Today: Berlin · Shanghai · Tokyo · Poznań. We know our designers by name. Limited drops, no restocks.

We aren't dropouts. We know the system — went through training, worked, kept building. Both sides hold.
